During this pandemic, many of us have gone online to teach our lessons. Zoom and other platforms work ok for drum lessons; however, it’s not the same. The numbers here in Pennsylvania are looking decent, so I have decided to reopen to in-person lessons as of July 6, 2020. I have instituted new procedures, including the student and I both wearing masks. My studio has very good airflow already, and I recently installed two air purifiers as well. I will keep an eye on things, and am willing to change strategies based on the science.

I’m not sure when gigs will come back to bars, restaurants and concert venues. For now, the evidence seems to show that indoor spaces are not good places to be. I plan on being very careful about resuming live gigs.

As always, remote drumming and drum tracks are a great option for anyone looking to record. I have been fortunate to be working like this, and am interested in new clients, too. Please reach out to me about this.

Please stay healthy and safe.
