I have owned John Riley’s DVD “The Master Drummer — How to Practice, Play and Think Like a Pro” for some time now. I haven’t worked on this material in a while, but while teaching recently I wanted to share part of the “Groove” section with one of my students. I took my time locating the exact part I was thinking about, and in doing so, I watched John explain and play some great stuff. This DVD has now moved to the front of the line for me and my own practicing.
There is so much fantastic information and it’s organized so well. John explains concepts clearly and also demonstrates those ideas succinctly. I throughly enjoy his approach and I’m getting a lot of new ideas for playing and for teaching. What more could I ask for?
