I spent this past weekend at Colorado Sound Studios laying down tracks with Bad Brad and The Fat Cats! It’s always fun for me to get to play with good musicians and get recorded in a professional environment, too!
Up until recently my own studio has been geared toward drum lessons with an emphasis on good audio and video. (Students receive a DVD at the end of each lesson.) My studio has gone through a major upgrade, and I now can also record tracks into Pro Tools. This can go various ways — a drum track can be added to a pre-existing song that can be sent over email, e.g. I can also record a full band — up to twenty-four tracks at any one time. It’s turned into a powerful resource for different avenues. I’m still in the process of learning, but I really can start to see some great and fun things developing here.
I’ll be updating my website soon with all the new capabilities, but in the meantime let’s record!
