A good friend of mine and I are working together writing tunes and recording. It’s not always easy, but it’s always fun. We don’t get together as often as either of us would like due to scheduling. So, it’s slow going but that’s just the way it is right now. I always look forward to hanging out, writing, listening, and playing music. We have both been able to play some music from our respective music collections with which the other is not familiar. It’s great! I have gone out and bought recordings after some intense listening sessions.
Listening to music is always inspiring and gives me new ideas on which to work. I always encourage my private students to do a lot of listening to all different kinds of music — it’s such an education and is usually very humbling. The entire process is so cool. There is more to come from this project we’ve started — please stay tuned and keep listening!
