My studio upgrade installation is basically done. Yay!!! I’m still in need of a few cables and the acoustical treatment, but otherwise I’m in business.
The new Toft mixer sounds amazing. I can already hear a huge difference and I haven’t even patched in the APi 3124 yet. I’m back to teaching and my work flow is where it was. Now… the challenge will be in learning new software (ProTools and Final Cut Pro) and making sure that I understand the various routing options. I’ll need to be patient with myself!
I can continue with the types of things I had been doing, but now I’ll be able to shoot HD video with some killin’ audio. Laying down drum tracks and sharing files will be possible now, as well. This is truly an amazing studio and I feel so very fortunate and lucky.
