Vocal Jazz in High School

I had the pleasure of being in the rhythm section for four different high school vocal jazz groups today. These students are not only talented, but full of enthusiasm. What a joy to be around that energy! It’s always fun for me to be with people who are discovering music, and jazz in particular. For quite a few of these young musicians, today was the first time performing with a jazz trio on stage. They should all be proud. They were fantastic!
